According to Geologist, present Konkan is 2 to 4 Kms inside the seashore. From this we can see that Konkan seashore is so much developed in last 4,000 years. On Buchar island near Eliphanta instruments like axes and Rapi from stone-age are found. This proves inhabitancy of human one to one and half lakh years ago. It is also proved by Flint instruments found in caves of Pachad & Haatkhamba. It proves inhabitancy of human before 20-40 years. Pourya, Satvahan, Kshatraya, Traikutak, Kalchuri, Morya from Konkan, Chalukay, Rashtrakut, Shilahar, Yadav, Bahmain, Sultan of Gujarat, Nijamshahi of Ahmednagar, Portuguese, Sidhi, Maratha, Moghal, Angre and British ruled this land.
