Mahad Raigad

An ancient township on the bank of river Savitri on Mumbai-Goa National Highway. It shot into fame when Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar started agitation for water at the site of 'Chawdar Tale'. A 'Kranti Stambh' has been erected in the memory of this agitaion.

Mahad MIDC area is the largest industrial area in Konkan. Don't miss to visit the Fort Raigad and Pandwas sculptures.

It is at a distance of 100 kms. from Alibag.

You can experience the ecstasy of Fort Raigad, the King of Forts !!! The Ropeway Package includes a to and fro ticket of Ropeway journey, visit to a museum displaying artifacts of Shri. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a film-show on the Fort Raigad and conducted tour with company-employed guides. The Ropeway package costs Rs. 110/- in ordinary course.
